The Day After New Year’s Day and the Day Before My Birthday
I feel like I’ve spent the entire day cleaning, sorting and running errands for other people. So I am happy to walk away from it for a while and just sit here and write. It is a respite I need on days like this. It was overcast and foggy all day and I feel like the weather dragged my mood down. Trying to figure out what to keep and what to toss is always so exhausting for me. I don’t have an organizational bone in my body.
It’s cold and dark out so I’m surprised to hear kids playing in the next yard. I envy them their play time. I’ve been so busy cleaning I totally forgot my birthday is tomorrow. I thought my boyfriend would be gone on my birthday but he decided to get his truck tuned up before driving to the AZ desert so he will be here for at least part of my birthday tomorrow.
I didn’t want birthday cake, so I got a pumpkin pie instead. Why should I be traditional in that area? I’m not traditional in any other.
Anyway, have a pleasant weekend, whatever you find yourself doing.
Hey, Happy Birthday! I know what you mean about cold, cloudy, dreary days. It has been proven that natural sunlight has everything to do with ones mood. And my birthday is Tuesday! It seems like everyone and their brother was born in January. And my husband has always preferred Pumpkin pie to cake. Nowadays he eats most anything I put in front of him-thankfully.
Well, I’d like to cheer you up. I sometimes have a strange sense of humor-if you don’t mind a little light reading check out my little spit-spot of a blog.
Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. Happy belated birthday. There do seem to be an awful lot of January birthdays. I was in a chatroom and 3 of us shared the same Jan. 3rd birthday.
My boyfriend’s is Jan. 13. His Dad’s is Jan. 14.
Go Capricorn.
